Sustainable Development Project for the indigenous Land of Rio Humanity - Huni Kuin People

This project aims to strengthen the quality of life and food sovereignty of the Huni Kuin indigenous communities in the Indigenous Land of Rio Humaitá, located near the municipality of Tarauacá, Acre. Covering a homologated and demarcated area of 125 thousand hectares, inhabited by 640 indigenous individuals across six villages, this project seeks to improve living conditions through reforestation, the creation of ponds, agricultural and livestock production, and the promotion of sustainable autonomy for families in the region..

The project is an initiative by the Huni Kuin communities in the Indigenous Land of Rio Humaitá to strengthen their food sovereignty and promote the reforestation of degraded areas. By creating conditions for local food production and environmental restoration, the communities aim to improve quality of life, reduce pressure on natural resources, and preserve their traditional culture.
